Colonial Pipeline Participated In FBI WMD Drill On Feb. 18

ATLANTA - On February 18th, Colonial assets in Georgia were the focus of a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) emergency tabletop drill hosted by the Atlanta Division of the FBI.

The tabletop, which was held at the Georgia Tech Research Institute Conference Center, involved more than 100 law enforcement agencies, first responders, emergency management agencies, emergency medical services and critical private and public stakeholders, including pipeline operators, from across the state.
The morning session included pipeline and cyber awareness training. The afternoon tabletop involved a SCADA breach, sabotage, and a delivery line release, all of which provided sufficient coordination and communication challenges for the multiple agencies in attendance. The drill was the first of five FBI tabletops planned in 2015 for cities across the nation to address cyber security.
Colonial was honored to be a chosen to participate in this critical training experience.
