Helena Police Department Receives Truck Donation

By Alex Adeseye

PELHAM, Ala.
- Recently, Colonial Pipeline Company’s team in Pelham donated a Ford F‑250 used truck to the Helena Police Department. Rather than to trade in or sell these trucks, Colonial wanted to directly support its first responders.

The Helena Police Department was heavily involved in the response to the CR91 incident back in September last year, patrolling the incident site and incident command while the pipeline underwent repairs.

Colonial has made numerous contributions in the Shelby County area. Since 2012, it has donated several trucks among different agencies throughout Alabama; these include the police department, fire departments, and the Board of Education between Pelham, Heflin, and Hagler. Colonial’s truck donations to the Shelby County area have totaled at a value of $64,000.

By donating equipment and funds to its local partners, the team ensures safety, especially during emergency response incidents. These trucks enable the police and fire departments to better serve their communities daily by providing a critical utility vehicle. This effort also helps to maintain strong relationships and further establish Colonial Pipeline in its commitment to protecting the community and environment.
