Colonial will strive to serve its customers, but will not place the
service commitment to its customers above its
commitment to protect the public, its
employees, and the environment. Integrity management and maintenance
objectives will be completed at the expense of throughput if necessary.
These objectives will drive the scheduling of pipeline movements
in order to accommodate the conditions necessary to complete system
integrity/maintenance work. Colonial employees will recognize and respond
to abnormal and emergency operating conditions with actions that place
safety as the highest priority. Our customers will be educated on our
philosophy regarding integrity management/maintenance and business and will, to the extent possible, be informed
in advance of planned operational
disruptions in order to allow them to best plan their business
in a coordinated effort with Colonial’s activities.
