![]() FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COLONIAL RETURNS TO FULL, NORMAL OPERATIONS September 6, 2005 Colonial Pipeline safely returned to full, normal operating conditions late Monday for all of its Main Lines and stub lines. Full commercial electrical power has been restored to serve the pipeline, and Colonial is now delivering into all locations along its system.
"We have received outstanding support and cooperation from local, state and federal agencies, from emergency response organizations, and from law enforcement across our system," said David Lemmon, Colonial President and CEO. "We can't say thank you enough to the utility crews and our employees who have worked so tirelessly. We are all very pleased that Colonial is once again safely delivering both gasoline and distillates all along our system."
Colonial Pipeline, headquartered in Alpharetta, GA., delivers a daily average of 100 million gallons of gasoline, home heating oil, aviation fuel and other refined petroleum products to communities and businesses throughout South and the Eastern United States. Colonial consists of more than 5,500 miles of pipeline, originating at Houston, Texas, and terminating at the New York harbor. |
