Chao has appointed Colonial Pipeline’s Vice President of Operations Services and Chief Risk Officer, Angela Kolar, to serve as an industry representative on the Technical Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety Standards Committee.

Commonly referred to as the Liquid Pipeline Advisory Council (LPAC), the group serves as an advisory body for the U.S. Department of Transportation. The committee is responsible for evaluating proposed pipeline safety and environmental protection standards, as well as providing information, advice and recommendations for policy initiatives. Kolar will serve a three-year term through July 2023.
