Colonial Supports Paddle Georgia’s 20th Anniversary
Two of our teammates, Scotty Booth and Mike Verdon, volunteered for a day as on-the-water safety guides, ensuring participants could enjoy the adventure safely. Thanks to Colonial’s support, several low-income families were also able to join the trip, gaining hands-on experience with river conservation and outdoor education.
Paddle Georgia is more than just a paddling trip; it’s a floating classroom and community, dedicated to protecting Georgia’s rivers and connecting people with nature. Since its start in 2005, the program has raised nearly $1 million for river protection and engaged thousands of paddlers across the state.
At Colonial, we believe being a trusted partner means more than operating responsibly, it means giving back. Through volunteerism, education, and charitable giving, we’re committed to protecting the environment, supporting local families, and building stronger communities wherever we operate.
