Colonial Activates Emergency Generators To Maintain Service

FELIXVILLE, La. - On Tuesday afternoon, February 7, a tornado touched down in rural Louisiana and took out the main electrical transmission feed to Colonial’s Felixville Station. Entergy is the power company and is working to restore service to the area. 

First, our thoughts and prayers are with all those impacted by the tornados in Louisiana.

Colonial’s facility was not damaged, but the power loss has immediate impact on our mainline operations. Therefore, Colonial activated its mobile emergency generators that are stored in Texas. 

The crews have successfully connected all the generators and brought them online at Felixville Station. This has allowed Colonial to continue running its pipeline during the power outage, ensuring we continue to move the energy that moves America, without interruption.
