Colonial Names Rodney L. Gray Vice President, Chief Finanical Officer

Energy Industry Veteran Assumes New Position Jan. 27 

ATLANTA, Ga. — Colonial Pipeline today announced that Rodney L. Gray will assume the new position of vice president and chief financial officer for the pipeline company. 

Gray, a resident of Houston, was most recently the chief financial officer of Petrocosm, an e‑procurement venture launched by Chevron and Crosspoint Venture Partners. His 28 years in the energy industry included a number of executive and financial leadership roles at Transco Energy and at ENRON. 

In those previous positions, Gray was responsible for investor services, cash management, treasury operations, corporate funding and asset management, including the purchasing and operation of power plants and natural gas pipelines throughout the world. 

At Colonial, Gray will lead a team that includes Craig Nunez, Treasurer; Ed Cooper, Controller; and Laurence Cohen, Colonial’s Leader for Decision Support.

Gray holds a BS in accounting from the University of Wyoming and a BS in mathematics and economics from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. He will assume his new duties Jan. 27. 

Colonial Pipeline consists of more than 5,500 miles of pipeline, extending from Houston and other Gulf Coast refining centers to markets throughout the South and East Coast, terminating at the New York harbor. 

Colonial daily transports more than 2 million barrels of gasoline, heating oil, jet fuel, defense fuels and other refined petroleum products. That represents approximately 20% of all refined petroleum products delivered in the United States.
