Colonial Pipeline Employees Package 12,339 Meals For Families In Need At Atlanta Community Food Bank

ATLANTA
– Colonial Pipeline employees, friends and family participated in Hands on Atlanta at the Atlanta Community Food Bank on Saturday, October 3.

The Atlanta Community Food Bank collects food items from various food drives and corporate donations to help feed hungry families throughout North Georgia. These items are collected at the food bank, sorted by volunteers and then distributed to local non-profits and organizations connected with families in need.

Twenty-three members of the Colonial Pipeline team spent the morning volunteering to sort 15,209lbs. of food, creating 12,339 meals for families in need in that Atlanta area.

Our team really enjoyed working together to prepare so many meals for people in need,” said Beth Anderson. We all enjoyed making a direct impact to our community by volunteering today. Many hungry families in need will get nutritious and safe meals thanks to today’s effort.”

The day of volunteering was the part of Colonial Pipeline’s annual United Way campaign, where employees come together to raise funds and volunteer to support the communities we share our pipeline with. This marked the second year Colonial’s Atlanta Area employees participated in Hands on Atlanta.
