Colonial Pipeline Names Wes Dunbar Vice President of Operations

ALPHARETTA, GA (December 19, 2019) – Colonial Pipeline today announced that Wes Dunbar has been named Vice President of Operations, effective January 6, 2020. Dunbar will be responsible for all Colonial Pipeline operations activity. 

The Colonial Management Team and Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Wes Dunbar will be joining our management team,” said Joe Blount, President and Chief Executive Officer of Colonial Pipeline. Wes has more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry, and his experience in pipeline operations will strengthen our team as we continue to deliver excellence in everything we do.” 

Since 2010, Dunbar has served as Vice President, Natural Gas Pipelines Operations at ONEOK, responsible for operations of both the interstate and intrastate pipelines. ONEOK is a leading midstream service provider and owns one of the nation’s premier natural gas liquids (NGL) systems, connecting NGL supply in the Mid-Continent, Permian and Rocky Mountain regions with key market centers and an extensive network of natural gas gathering, processing, storage and transportation assets.

He began his career at Oklahoma Natural Gas in 1989, and held jobs of increasing responsibility in various areas of operations. In 2001, he was named Manager, Operations, of ONEOK WesTex Transmission, and was later named Vice President, Commercial, Intrastate Pipelines.

Dunbar currently serves on the Pipeline Safety Executive Committee of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. He also formerly served on the board of Junior Achievement of Eastern Oklahoma, the Texas Gas Association, and the Tulsa Area United Way.

An Oklahoma native, Dunbar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering in 1989 from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, and a Master of Business Administration degree in 1993 from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
