Tom Bundros Named Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Tom Bundros has been named vice president and chief financial officer of Colonial Pipeline, effective July 6, 2009. He will be responsible for leading Colonial’s financial performance and helping ensure Colonial’s operations are safe, reliable and efficient. 

He will oversee Colonial’s Treasury, Business Development & Optimization, Information Technology and Shared Services (Accounting) teams. 

The timing could not be better to add an executive of Tom’s caliber and drive to Colonial’s leadership,” said Tim Felt, president and CEO of Colonial.

Bundros’ background includes more than 25 years in the energy and utility industries. Most recently he was CFO of Dalton Utilities where he successfully executed an overhaul of the northwest Georgia company’s information systems, accounting and financial processes. An active member of his community, Bundros’ 12 years at Dalton Utilities were marked by company growth in operating revenues, capital assets and net worth. 

Before Dalton Utilities, Bundros was with the Southern Company system for 13 years, holding positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of business development, budgeting & forecasting, financial planning & analysis, treasury and capital markets/​investor relations. 

He began his professional career as a division analyst for Conoco after graduating from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro with a BS in Economics and Business Administration and an MBA. 

Colonial, founded in 1962, delivers refined petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, home heating oil and fuels for the U.S. military, from refineries primarily in the Gulf Coast to customers and markets throughout the Southern and eastern United States.
